My first adventures in photography were at the age of 10 using an old Kodak roll film camera, which my uncle gave me for my birthday. I changed to an Olympus SLR in my early twenties and developed my own black and white photos. I first experimented with a digital Olympus compact camera in 2002 and changed to a digital Nikon SLR in 2006. I currently use an OM 5 digital camera.

My interest in photography spans many subjects with photos ot the natural world, be they landscapes, animals or close ups of flowers and butterflies, modern and traditional architecture, industrial heritage as well as abstracts and 'people' pictures. I use available light wherever possible and therefore always keep an eye on the weather to see if 'the light is right'.
